Holding the distinction as the world's tallest buildings until 2004, the Petronas towers retain their status as a symbol of Malaysia's prosperity. The rapidly developing economic centre of Kuala Lumpur bustles at the the towers' feet.
During our visit to Indonesia we decided to jump over to Sulawesi, a large rugged island with a frontier-like atmosphere. Here I was able to spend some time photographing one of the most interesting and unique cultures that I've ever ran across in my travels. A photo story that details my expereinces with the Torajan people can be seen here.
Rangda is a sacred symbol among the Balinese Hindu. In traditional dance the witch battles Barong, a mythical animal that protects the village, representing the relationship of good versus evil. A thanks to Jamur and Mank for making this photo shoot happen.

On a recent trip to Bali I was fortunate enough to be invited to a village ceremony in Mas. The traditional Balinese ceremony took place in three homes, centered around Hindu family temples. A small procession lead the way to each of the locations throughout the day. Thanks to Mank, Jamur, and Ivan for letting me tag along on this special day. The full gallery of images from the ceremony can be seen by clicking here.
